About the event
Note: While each class can be taken individually, participants are strongly encouraged to take all three classes in the series for a deeper experience and understanding of the work. Save 10% by choosing the Butoh Series ticket option. Decentering and the Imagination: Using imagery from the natural world, we will incorporate decentering basics from the previous class to support the process of morphing into or becoming images.
The focus of this class will be to:
•Challenge one’s habitual responses by releasing the attachment to our human self
•Expand the range of possibilities for movement through the somatic process of embodying images from the natural world
•Spark the imagination through non-rational explorations
•Release inhibitions to encourage taking creative risks
