Note: While each class can be taken individually, participants are strongly encouraged to take all three classes in the series for a deeper experience and understanding of the work. Decentering Basics: In the first class of the series, we will explore a few of the fundamental principles of decentering the human through walking meditation, ascending and descending, attention to gravity, space, form, and micromovements.
The focus of this class will be to:
•Cultivate a grounded and supple body through methods that build a strong center, release unnecessary tension, and activate our energy
•Learn to embrace awkward or uncomfortable moments with curiosity and ease
•Hone mental and physical clarity by learning to fine-tune awareness
•Bring awareness to conscious or unconscious habits and open to new directions for the body/self
