Open House: Intro to Contact Unwinding as Somatic Therapy

This session will be an introduction to Contact Unwinding, a movement process within Shin Somatics® Methods, developed by Sondra Fraleigh and the Eastwest faculty.

Done with a partner, Contact Unwinding is a reflective, intuitive exchange in which a primary mover follows internal cues in response to tactile and/or verbal cues offered by a supportive guide. (Note: You don’t need to have a partner in your space for this session.)

Through Contact Unwinding, we practice core narratives found in the Eastwest curriculum.

Contact Unwinding can be a valuable learning tool in diverse learning environments, and in therapeutic work.

Contact Unwinding offers a structure for recognizing one’s own patterns and presents possibilities for restorative bodywork and Teaching through Touch.

This free session will provide an opportunity to experience the Eastwest Virtual Studio community. Contact unwinding is open to all movers. *Recording will be provided to all registrants.
