Eastwest offers ISMETA Approved Somatic Movement Education & Therapy Certification. ISMETA is the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association www.ismeta.org. Receive a full level toward certification through Eastwest and ISMETA in any 5-day workshop below. Workshops may be taken in any order, or repeated for credit. Receive 1/2 level of credit for a weekend tutorial. Seven Levels of credit are required for certification. Workshops are taught by Sondra Fraleigh or Eastwest Somatics and ISMETA certified faculty.

Those not seeking certification may take workshops for personal growth at a reduced rate. Inquire about taking the first 2 days of a workshop as an introduction to somatics. Some workshops have the option for 1/2 day participation: mornings only for non-certificate students at a greatly reduced fee.

Registration Information

Workshop and Conference Option, One full level of Certification Credit, $996 (includes five nights stay at the Zion Lodge, doubles).
Workshop Only Option, ¾ level of Certification Credit, $886 (includes three nights stay at the Zion Lodge, doubles). Option for ¼ level of credit through independent study. Study fee of $110.Conference Only Option (includes two nights stay at Zion Lodge, doubles), $190.
Post-conference Day: Somatic Pedagogy in St. George, $35 (includes lunch). Prices include the early registration discounted rate.

Late registration after November 20, include an additional $80. Late registration for Conference Only, include and additional $40. Rooms not guaranteed after December 1.

Zion Winter Retreats, Conferences, Concerts & Workshops in early January. Eastwest Somatics Network, the professional organization supporting Shin Somatics studies and practices offers a conference in Zion every other year with opportunities for participants to present workshops and papers and to perform in the evening concerts. Rejuvenation and certification workshops are offered every year. Participants can perform in somatically inspired concert work in the evenings. Workshops include dance in the environment, image and art in bodywork, Land to Water Yoga, Contact Unwinding, Wisdom Circles and Meditation in Motion. Prices vary according to venues offered. Prices include lodging at the comfortable Zion Lodge in the heart of Zion National Park in Utah, near the beautiful red rock city of St. George.

Hawaii Retreats: Shin Somatics® Land to Water Yoga - Dates TBA. $1295 non-certificate students or $1495 for certification students. Price includes: Somatics Instruction and Watsu Waterdance, Room and board at the beautiful Kalani eco-Resort, Vegetarian meals prepared with fresh organic ingredients. Plenty of time for activities. Hula Basics, Black Sand Beach, Swimming and Sauna. Massage and group excursions can be arranged separately. Registration after November 1st subject to a late fee of $50. Green Gulch Zen Center Retreats: Shin Somatics® 3day Rejuvenation Program - (offered infrequently, not for certification) Dates TBA. Green Gulch Zen Center opens onto the Pacific Ocean, between Sausalito CA and Stinson Beach.  Retreat in 2010 TBA. $500. Price includes workshop, vegetarian meals prepared with food grown at Green Gulch, and lodging in the Japanese style guesthouse, double & triple occupancy. Single room, add $75 each night. Opportunity for instruction in Zen Meditation from resident master also included. Rejuvenation Program includes Land to Water Yoga - at any age, Chakra Unwinding, and Core Movement Repatterning through gentle movements that anyone can do. Intrinsic Dance & Bodywork, including Taoist Light Qi Gong (weekends schedule)
Santa Barbara California. Program initiated in 2009, ongoing in future years.
Learn somatic movement therapy and integrated bodywork with Sri Van der Kroef in week end formats, and earn certification credits. Practice Land to Water Yoga in the early morning sessions. Land to Water Yoga is open for community participation and personal rejuvenation through a non-certification program at a reduced rate. Inquire about low cost housing. Non-Certification Day Students $75 a day. Land to Water Yoga, Morning program, $40 ½ day. Receive one full level of certification credit in three weekends of study. Registration Terms:
Refunds of 1/2 of the total fee until 30 days before any workshop. No refunds after that. Non-refundable fees retained by Eastwest may be applied up to 75% to future workshops of the participant's choice. Registration terms for retreats may be different, as each retreat is separately priced according to location, and rules for registration vary. For retreat registration datelines, read registration information carefully, and inquire if you have any questions. This registration page is updated frequently. Scholarship terms do not apply at many of the retreats, because of the cost of accommodations.
