Sondra Fraleigh's Publications and Professional Papers

Sondra reads her recent article on Ohno Kazuo-sensei in celebration of his 100th birthday in 2006, speaking of her recent meeting with him and dancing with his son and dance partner, Ohno Yoshito at his studio in Yokohama. Sondra's book with Tamah Nakamura "Hijikata Tatsumi and Ohno Kazuo" is the first book in English to tell the story of butoh – from its founding through the partnership of Hijikata and Ohno to its recent practices – Hijikata Tatsumi and Ohno Kazuo (Routledge, 2006).
