Learn integrated bodywork, healing dances, and Shin Somatics® Land to Water Yoga. Experience butoh in the environment as a part of the Wales retreat. Dance in turn with the land, woods, and stream in a beautiful valley. Earn one full level toward becoming a registered somatic movement therapist. The quiet natural surroundings of Pen Pynfarch, the simple style of the old farm buildings, uncluttered, warm accommodation and work space put you quickly at ease.

Sondra Fraleigh has written two books on butoh, a form of dance and healing that began in Japan about 60 years ago, and is now practiced internationally. See her book: Dancing into Darkness: Butoh, Zen, and Japan (1999) - and on the founding of butoh, her book with Tamah Nakamura, Hijikata Tatsumi and Ohno Kazuo (2006). Sondra has been researching and and studying with masters of this form of dance since 1986. Ohno Kazuo, 100 years old in 2006, inspires her teaching of dream work through butoh, and is her mentor.
